You may have already heard of microblading for full brows. Did you know there’s a similar practice for your scalp? Although both fall under the category of micropigmentation, [microblading and micropigmentation] are very different methods of implanting pigment,

While microblading is typically done with a manual blade, micropigmentation is performed using an electric tattoo device. This is because more power is needed to penetrate the skin on your scalp, which is thicker than the skin under your eyebrows.

This process may be useful for people who experience all forms of hair loss. This includes folks with:

• cancer

• alopecia

• thinning hair

• male and female pattern baldness

Post-procedure precautions

• Avoid swimming, saunas, and steam rooms for 28 days after your final treatment.

• Keep out of the sun for 28 days after treatment. Thereafter, use SPF 30–50 sunscreen.

• Avoid heavy exercise for five days after your final treatment.

• Begin to regularly moisturize the treated area after the fourth day of your final treatment (this is also true between treatments).

LIP BLUSH

“Lip blushing is a form of semi-permanent makeup. Essentially, it is a cosmetic tattoo of the lips that enhances the beauty of the natural lip color, improving the shape of the lips, giving definition and the illusion of fullness,” said Christina Son, owner of Sugarin Studio in Los Angeles. “This treatment delivers very natural results, once healed. Filler is great for creating volume in your lips, but lip blush delivers a more natural look and give the illusion of fuller lips.” A tiny mechanized needle deposits pigment into the lips, which builds layers of color. Son explained that it can be a corrective service to help even out the tone of the lips, but it can also help with asymmetry.

Between two to five years

Lip blushing is a type of cosmetic tattooing that semi-permanently enhances lip color by depositing colored ink into the lips with a mechanical needle.

A lip tattoo cannot be permanent because of the nature of the cells found in the area. The inside of the mouth is made up of mucosal cells. The uniqueness of these cells is that they regenerate very fast. That is why a wound that would take up to 3 weeks on the skin would take only 3 days to heal if it is on the lips.

You may wear lipstick, lip gloss, and chapstick after 10 days, make sure the tube of lip product is new. … No kissing, rubbing or friction on your newly tattooed lips until after 10 days or you may lose pigment. Lips may be dry for 3 to 6 months depending on the body reaction.
